Seminars & Training
To help new users to become aquainted with the powerful collaboration & teaching tools that our service offers, SAIT can arrange Training either on-site or remotely via the Web.
There are 3 main sections to the System
- Collaboration - this includes the MS Sharepoint environment to support a Team approach to creating new Pathways and developing existing ones. Also included is a Remote Conferencing tool which can be used to demonstrate new software to Teachers & Students as arranged by the conferencing "host"
- Remote access to the typical software packages found in SAIT and other first Semester courses. Once a user is registered, these software packages can be delivered and used at a distance over the Web. This will give students the opportunity the "try out" the various course offerings that might be part of their chosen Career Pathway and see if it matches their Skill Portfolio
- A DOR (Digital objects repository) which will store resources for supporting students in their Career Search. This will provide the best opportunity for new articulation agreements and possibly Advanced Credit for pre-qualifying courses in Post Secondary while the students are still in High School. These resources should allow students to challenge a SAIT exam, for instance.
